Abstract
Article 27 paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia states that every citizen has the right to work and a decent living. This constitutional provision requires that every policy issued by the government must guarantee the creation of jobs and protection of the welfare of workers. However, in practice, workers in Indonesia still face various challenges that hinder the fulfillment of their rights. This study aims to analyze the extent to which the Job Creation Law contributes to the welfare of workers in Indonesia. Using a normative legal research method, this study found that the Job Creation Law has not been fully able to guarantee the welfare of workers as a whole.
