Abstract
Insurance exists as a way to manage or transfer a risk. However, the process of making an insurance claim often becomes a problem when insurance companies reject claims for some reason. The method used by the author is normative legal research with a regulatory approach that is conceptually analyzed. The research results show that an Agent's Statement signed without the involvement of a public official is considered a handwritten document. However, it only has full evidentiary power if the agent appears in court. Therefore, the Agent's Statement submitted by the heirs can be used to counter the rejection of an insurance claim caused by the Policyholder not signing the SPAJ
