Abstract

The State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) is an institution under the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance that is responsible for managing state assets, receivables, appraisals and auctions. In practice, auction execution often gives rise to legal disputes, especially over objects that still have the potential for conflict, such as jointly owned marital property. This research uses a normative juridical method with secondary data obtained through literature and document studies, then analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the application of the principle of prudence by KPKNL Medan has not been optimal because verification remains administrative in nature and has not been substantive. In Decision Number 560/Pdt.G/2024/PN Medan, the auction object was undivided joint property.
